2) The DORMITION Fast is a time of canonic fasting in the Orthodox Church.
3) TO MAKE A proper PROSTRATION you need to make the sign of the cross and then kneel down touching the floor with own forehead.

5. Salvation in Orthodoxy is liberation by God's grace from eternal punishment for sin.

2. The Nativity of the Mother of God is the first great feast with which the Liturgical year begins.
3. Through the Incarnation of God salvation of all things living became possible.
4. Twelve great feasts are the most known ones among people.
5. When I was little we made a new Advent calendar every year.
