Right now i I am reading the GOSPEL according to John, who was one of Jesus Christ's DISCIPLES. I've read the chapter about The Last Supper. It was in the UPPER ROOM and Christ BROKE THE LAMB with His disciples.

Every LITURGY the priest CENSES the church with a CENSER. The INCENSE is burnt in it to make FRAGRANCE in the church.

A HOLY TABLE is the most  important part of SANCTUARY. Also there is the TABLE OF OBLATION in the sanctuary I have never been in the  ALTAR but I know that there are many different things for PREPARATION OF THE LITURGY on the table of oblation. For example, the CHALICE, DISKOS, the SPEAR, the SPOON, two SMALL VEILS, etc. Also there are five altar LOAVES. They are very important in the PROSKOMIDIA.  For example, the LAMB is taken from the  first loaf for the body of Christ.

There are seven general SACRAMENTS of the CHURCH: BAPTISM, CHRISMATION, COMMUNION, CONFESSION, ANOINTING WITH OIL, MARRIAGE and ORDINATION. As all Orthodox, I believe that the HOLY SPIRIT is present in a special way in the MYSTERIES. I'm convinced that SHARING IN THE SACRAMENTS is essentially connected with MEMBERSHIP of the CHURCH. I try to PARTAKE IN the MYSTERIES regularly.

 COMMUNION is the most important sacrament of the Orthodox church. It is very important to RECEIVE communion because Christ said to do it to  his DISCIPLES. The wine and bread which are used in this sacrament become the PRECIOUS  BLOOD AND BODY of Christ. When you TAKE COMMUNION the PRIEST gives it to you with a SPOON. After that the COMMUNICANT should wipe his mouth with CLOTH and kiss the CHALICE.

Every LITURGY in church has its SHAPE. The most important parts of Orthodox liturgy are: the LITTLE ENTRANCE, reading the EPISTLE (a section from one of the books of ACTS of the APOSTLES) and GOSPEL, the GREAT ENTRANCE with  carrying the COMMUNION GIFTS and singing the CHERUBIC HYMN by the CHOIR, and actually COMMUNION. During the liturgy the HOLY DOORS can be opened or closed - it depends on part of the liturgy.

Communion is possible only for people who have been BAPTISED in the Orthodox Church. And of course it is also one of the main sacraments of the Church. Usually a person is baptised by threefold IMMERSION in water. Before it he ought to RENOUNCE EVIL AND TURN TO CHRIST. If the person is baptised as a baby his or her GODFATHER or GODMOTHER does it for him or her. After the baptism the person is dressed in the BAPTISMAL ROBE. Then it's time for CHRISMATION. It's also an important sacrament because we get the SEAL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

Before taking Communion we always have to CONFESS. CONFESSION is a sacrament of REPENTANCE. This way we  are RELEASED FROM OUR SINS. Every PARISHIONER ought to ASK THE PRIEST FOR the BLESSING after CONFESSION.

2. As a child, I loved the FRAGRANCE of INCENSE very much.
3. I really want to PARTAKE IN the MYSTERIES more often, but I haven't enough time because of my classes.
4. I like to see how OIL LAMPS twinkle.
5. I like to listen hear the bells of the CENSER.

7. I have an ICON CORNER at my home.
8. There are some TRIPTYCH ICONS in my ICON CORNER.
9. Every evening I pray with the ICON.

When I was a pupil, I was told about many Sainted people, DEPICTED on icons in our church. Konstantin Bogorodskiy is the most VENERATED Holy Martyr in our town, that is why we always did PROSTRATIONS with the REVERENCE before each lunch.

PRIEST’S HAND CROSS is usually in altar, but all of us have BAPTISMAL CROSS, which is always with us. It was given us during the BAPTISM after IMMERSION.

To come to confession, I need to be sure of my REPENTANCE.
I know that I can only receive HEALING and be RELEASED FROM MY SINS by being sincere.
After confession, I always ASK THE PRIEST FOR A BLESSING.
