| There are three highest DEGREES OF PRIESTHOOD in the Orthodox church: BISHOP, PRIEST AND DEACON.
The VESMENTS of a deacon includes several elements: a STOLE (it's also called ORARION), a TUNIC of gold or silver cloth with wide sleeves, and CUFFS.
The ORDINATION TO THE PRIESTHOOD is closely related to the image of the GOOD SHEPHERD, because the BISHOP is also a shepherd who looks after his FLOCK.
The PRIEST can CELEBRATE THE LITURRGY and other sacraments. His VESTMENTS also includes a STOLE like that of the deacon, butsewn together, a CHASUBLE, a GIRDLE, an ALB and the EPIGONATION.
The BISHOP is the highest DEGREE OF THE PRIESTHOOD. And the bishop's VESTMENTS also have its special elements. For example, a SAKKOS, an OMOPHORION, a MITRE, a PANAGIA, etc.

2. We should all be PENITENTS not only at times of formal CONFESSION, but also all throughout our lives.
3. After hearing the PRAYERS OF ABSOLUTION, the person who has just KNEELED before God in REPENTANCE rejoices and is ready to face their everyday challenges with a changed heart.
4. TURNING AWAY FROM A SIDE TRACK AND TOWARDS THE GOAL OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD is simultaneously the most painful and the most rewarding thing anybody can do for themselves.

2. One thing we can be sure of in the ever-changing world is the LIVING CONTINUITY of church as a praying community.
3. The bishop performs all ordinations during the service.
4. The VESTMENTS of deacons, priests and bishops all consist of three main elements with some differences to them, emphasising the specific roles of each DEGREE OF PRIESTHOOD: a STOLE, CUFFS and a TUNIC or an ALB.
5. A priest cannot CELEBRATE any OFFICE without the STOLE.

| The Byzantine prayer is the preferred variant of the PRAYER OF ABSOLUTION among some priests.
Once the body has been properly prepared, the priest will then begin the First Panikhida, a prayer service for the DECEASED.

| There is the difference between a FUNERAL SERVICE and a MEMORIAL SERVICE. The FUNERAL SERVICE is performed over the DEPARTED once, on the day of their burial. MEMORIAL SERVICE is a prayer that could be performed both before the funeral sevice and after. MEMORIAL SERVICE is a prayer that could be performed both before the funeral service and after that.

There are twelve TWELVE GREAT FEASTS in the Orthodox church. Theese include the following feasts, like NATIVITY OF CHRIST, NATIVITY OF THE MOTHER OF GOD, THEOPHANY, EXALATION OF THE CROSS, ENTRY OF THE MOTHER OF GOD IN THE TEMPLE ect.
Also the LITURGICAL YEAR includes the MINOR FEASTS and THE SAINTS' DAYS.

| The ENTRY INTO JERUSALEM is one of the TWELVE GREAT FEASTS in the orthodox church. It is also called PALM SUNDAY because this day Jesus Christ came into Jerusalem and people greeted him with palm branches. In the northern countries where there are no palm trees, people come into the church with PUSSY WILLOW branches. It is very important and SOLEMN feast.

| My godfather always says "PEACE BE TO THIS HOUSE" when he comes to visit us. At Pascha, it is customary to BREAK FAST eating eggs, which are pre-painted in red or other colors.
