The HOLY TABLE in a church is a sacred table in the center of the altar, where the sacrament of the Eucharist and other important services are performed.
During the Great Entrance, the priest transfers the Holy Gifts, the Body and Blood of Christ from the altar to the TABLE OF OBLATION.
The AMBO is a part of the solea from which the priest usually reads the Gospel.
I like that part after worship when the priest starts PREACHING because it’s always the opportunity to know something new about our religion.
When people are too ill to come to church, the priest comes to their home with the TABERNACLE in which communion is kept.

I like the fragrance of incense in churches but at the same time it’s too allergic for my vocal cords.
Recently I started attending vespers more often and I noticed that they are filled with quiet light and warmth.
During the period from Easter to Pentecost, bows are replaced by prostrations.
Except for the sacrament of baptism and subsequent chrismation, chrism is consecrated for the anointing of the throne, antimins and the walls of the newly built temple.
Perhaps, one of the most significant moments in our life is the decision to take up your cross and follow Christ, believing from the bottom of your heart that this is the right way to save your soul.

The duties of the servers include the preparation of vestments, prosphora, wine, water, incense and other necessary items.
The cup from which the communion is given to people is called Chalice.
Diskos is a small dish on a stand on which, during the Liturgy, the Lamb (part of the main prosphora, symbolizing the Body of Christ in the sacrament of the Eucharist) is prepared and consecrated.
During the liturgy, a star is placed on top of the diskos — two metal arcs fastened crosswise, which prevents the veil from touching the particles and symbolizes the Star of Bethlehem.
