The CHURCH is called "GOD'S HOUSE". I think it's true but sometimes I hear that someone calls it "SPIRITUAL Hospital". And, as for me, it's actually true too. COMMUNION is way for people to "cure" those "SOUL wounds". FASTING may become "therapy" for us, not only "bother", because (as in medicine) you need to realize your "illness" and then start wanting to be healed. So all "parts of treatment" will make sence and as a result - will help. That's why we also need to know what are THE SACRAMENTS OF THE CHURCH about and why we need to attend DIVINE LITURGY.

WORSHIP helps us to reconnect with LORD by letting The HOLY SPIRIT to guide us on the right path. So, it is really necessary to PRAY, because it's our way to find or not to lose GOD'S GRACE. We VENERATE ICONS because we need SAINTS TO PRAY FOR OUR SOULS, but the most necessary is to attend LITURGY and participate in it. It's the most important because it's the main action which helps us not to fall into nonsence and TEMPTATION. So, Liturgy helps us to save our souls and to keep them truly IMMORTAL.

During CONFESSION, the PRIEST must be in a sober state of mind, guided by GOD'S WILL rather than his own emotions. SINS are make people suffer, even if a person gets pleasure from sinning. It feels good on the first sight but at the end you find yourself living in the real hell. So we don't have to judje eachother, because we are all in same situation and God Is MERCIFUL to all of us. He gaves us the opportunity to REPENT your sins and be forgiven.

In my childhood I didn't want to go to VESPERS. I felt bored because I didn't understand anything. But, I loved to LIGHT CANDELS and to clean CANDLE DESKS and play with CANDLE WAX with my friends who came to church too. Also, the most special days for me was associated with CHRISTMAS the FEAST of feasts - EASTER. Nowadays I lost any contact with those, who attended LITURGY with but now I love to attend it for another reasons.

It is hard to comprehend some things while reading THE OLD TESTAMENT. But, I know not religious people who was very interested while reading the BIBLE. Also, of THE FOUR GOSPELS the GOSPEL OF MARK is the easier to read. So I would recommend to my not religious friends to start from It If they will ask me for this kind of advice. I don't feel wrong when I'm DOING THE SIGN OF A CROSS but there was a time when I felt wrong by doing it in the crowd. If I feel myself guilty of my religion that means that I don't really believe in God and all my worship is FANATISISM.

For many people Church is associated with FRAGRANCE of INCENSE. It's a solemn moment when the priest walks with the CENSER and CENSES the entire church. The smoke of smoldering CHARCOAL fills everything around. For me it's a real question why some people starts to get sick or falling because of smell of it. Are they possesed by demons or just have allergies? Anyway, lights of candles and OIL LAMPS enhance the sense of solemnity and begining of something very important.

It is really hard to be an ICONOGRAPHER. Every morning we see ICONS painted with a lot of patience and concentration. The HOLY DOORS, THE ICON SCREEN, sometimes the walls and the ceiling of the church are hours of someone's work, their blood and sweat. But, as I've heard from my iconographer friends, they really enjoy the process of painting icons.

We should TAKE UP OUR CROSS AND FOLLOW THE CHRIST. But what do we mean by that? It means full SURRENDER to God’s terms of DISCIPLESHIP. It's not easy, because it means to face with shame, rejection, or persecution. It's the SACRIFICE and laying everything on ALTAR to PREACH the Truth.

The WEDDING is an important part of our lives. So, it is sad when someone do not get MARRIED but something is worse! The moments when people with different religions and views are making family. The wife or the husband should do everything to save FAITH and family. For me, the question of religion is the most important thing in relationship. So, what do you mean by "We are not going to BAPTIZE our children"? Seriously?? No way!

1. My mother wants me to sing at the church CHOIR but I don't have enough time.
2. I love to sing CHERUBIC HYMN more than any other CHURCH CHUNTS.
3. If i will have children, I hope I'll teach them to REVERENT ORTHODOX CHURCH TRADITIONS.
4. I have some problems with comprehending when we have DOGMATIC TRADITION lessons in our university.
5. I have ROMAN CATHOLIC FRIEND from Italy and he said that he feel better in our Russian Orthodox churches.

| The ALTAR is the sacred and the most important part of the church, where PRIESTS ( and other ministers) perform worship services.
There is an aromatic smell in the church because priests and DEACONS use INCENSE during worship services.
One of the most important parts of the life of any Orthodox Christian is CONFESSION, which through man grants FORGIVENESS from God and heals the soul.
My favorite church SACRAMENT is the sacrament of marriage because it is both solemn and intimate, and it makes the greatest sense for the spouses.
