The police suspect that it was a HARDENED CRIMINAL with a lot of experience in BURGLARIES. 4. Citizens are afraid of a CRIME RATE rising. 5. | The level of juvenile crime has been increasing recently. In the last year alone, the city has faced a spate of burglaries and a number of acts of mindless vandalism, committed by teenagers. Some of them were already convicted criminals who had already served a sentence in a prison for young offenders. The crime rate will come down only if all educational institutions do everything in their power to combat crime.

| In some places a strong CRIME WAVE has swept through. It was said recently that there were many BURGLARIES and VEHICLE CRIMES. A HARDENED CRIMINAL BROKE INTO THE HOUSE on the nearby street and STOLE expensive jewelry, electronics and all cash. Police suggest the same person may be involved in a few incidents that also include ROBBING local stores and dealing DRUGS. Also there has been a disturbing increase of ABUSE, VANDALISM and other forms of awful behavior, that caused the local CRIME RATE to reach the highest level in five years.

| I have never COMMIT AN OFFENCE. Government trying to TACKLE CRIME and to COMBAT IT, but, unfortunately, I think that crime will never end. We can FIGHT AGAINST CRIME, send a CONVICTED CRIMINAL to prison, make them SERVE their SENTENCE, but STREET CRIME, DRUG ABUSE and such awful things like COMMITING ACTS OF TERRORISM always will be in our world.

| Our town is trying to fight a recent CRIME WAVE. The police are focused on JUVENILE CRIME, like vandalism, because it often starts there. They arrested a teenager, but he wasn't just a common PETTY CRIME offender. It turned out he was a HARDENED CRIMINAL who was already a CONVICTED CRIMINAL for robbery.

| HARDENED CRIMINALS usually never abandon their ways. They continue the life of BURGLARIES and VEHICLE CRIMES and contribute to the CRIME WAVE across the country. People who have theorised about it have come to interesting conclusions. All experts seem to have arrived at a simple solution, which is to upgrade and elevate the public education system in the poorer neighbourhoods, which wouldn't only cut down on the JUVENILE CRIME but would also lead to safer cities.

| Personally, I often hear news about crime in my hometown, and it worries me that a HARDENED CRIMINAL recently COMMITTED OFFENCES in our neighbourhood. Many of these incidents were STREET CRIME, like someone STEALS YOUR CAR, which makes people feel unsafe. I think the authorities need to do more to COMBAT CRIME, because reducing CRIME FIGURES is important. And, unfortunately, for these last decades DRUG ABUSE often leads to the death of young people.
