| I totally agree with this quote and this thought perfectly reflects my vision of earthly life as a preface to our future life. I actually think that this life is given us to prepare us for our eternal life, because our personality (if this word is appropriate here, since it doesn’t reflect full depth of the concept) is formed here and it determines our character, moral qualities, inner world, value system, spiritual development – in a word, it makes us what we are. I’d say, earthly life is given us for educating our soul. We all are born with it, but our actions and our works we commit in this life actually determine what our soul will be like and therefore, what our eternal destiny will be like. That’s why we should take care of what we do and how we act here and try to behave in way that leads us to the Kingdom of Heaven. And the experience we get here is a sort of trial or exercise before entering our future life.

| This quote resonates with me. I believe everything we do in our earthly life influences our eternal life. That is why the preparation of our soul is so important—our deeds impact our existence both here and hereafter.
Nevertheless, I think it is difficult to remember that life is passing every single moment. When you are engaged in the world and surrounded by people, you feel a strong connection to it. For a lay person, I think it's normal not to think about eternal life every day, as everyone has many obligations. We should not go to extremes; balance is very important. Otherwise, it is easy to start thinking that our present life matters little and to just start waiting for death. That`s not right.
