Whoever gains the ability to see his own sinfulness sees not individual sins, but the complete distortion of his soul, which constantly exudes all manner of evil. What’s more, he sees that even his good deeds are saturated with the poison of sin. When a man sees this clearly, and likewise becomes convinced after a thousand incidents that he cannot heal the leprosy of his soul on his own, then he will genuinely (not artificially) humble himself, will stop judging others, and no longer take offense when his feelings are hurt.

When a man sees this clearly, and likewise becomes convinced after a thousand incidents that he cannot heal the leprosy of his soyl on his own, then he will geninely (not artificially) humble himself, will stop judging others , and no longer take take offense when his feelings are hurt. This is the abbot's Nikon vorobiev statement. I agree with it. I 'll try to express my view on this quote.
Of course all people are sinners. There are total sinnres who make sins and even don't think about it and there are
sinners who understand that they are sinners and see their sins. Some of them see the whole picture of their sinns.  They see it and they are astonished and shoked that they did alot of bad things. It is obvious that they stop they stop judging others because they start judging themselves. Their sinns don't let them see the sinns of others. These people partly become as the robber who was crossified with Christ. This robber understood that he is punished for his bad things, for the evil he did to the other people, but this righteous person next to him didn't do anything like that.
However, in conclusion, I have to say that it is very difficult to achieve such condition. I think we can do it only with the help of the Lord and  only very slowly, step by step.

Abbot Nikon Vorobiev claims that the main necessary thing to attain humbleness is gaining the ability to see your own sinful nature. Only after realising how sinful you are, you can truly humble yourself.

I can surely agree with this thought. The main majority of our sins is connected with arrogance. We don’t want to condescend to our neighbours’ weaknesses just because we feel that we are better, that in the same situation we would behave differently, more righteously. We look down on everybody, start judging and taking offence because we are incapable of seeing all the abomination of our own heart. That’s the main problem why we can’t change our lives completely.

On the opposite, saints saw the error of their ways, they lamented and grieved because they realised all their wickedness though they were definitely much purer than we are. Yet they prayed and beseeched God to grant them one more day in order to repent.

To conclude, I firmly believe that our central purpose should be gaining this sense of sinfulness and humbleness in order to be saved.
