| The saints have also found that selfish thoughts, left unchecked, lead a person to sinful acts, passions, habits, and eventually alienation from God and neighbor; whereas godly thoughts, when cultivated, guide a person by the grace of God to virtuous actions, habits, and ultimately purification from the passions, illumination by the Holy Spirit, and deification in Christ.

I agree with this issue. Selfish thoughts can turn people into sinners because selfish people think only about theirselves. They have very huge ambitions. They think they are kings. They want everything in the world to be only for them. Finally, they forget God and can easily turn into the burglar, murderers and other types of prisoners. Vice versa, people take care of others are really outgoing and friendly. They love the others and the others love them. God loves them. God Himself was not selfish. He was ready to preach and help people every minute, even when was hungry, tired or asleep.
I think if God did it, we as His followers must do the same. If we will think of others more than about ouurself God will give us everything. Do not worry about your life. What you will eat or drink; ( Matthew, 6:25). God will give us everything, if we will be His true followers.
