If you feel under the weather / out of sorts how do you usually cope?

How long does it usually take you to fight off a cold?

When was the last time you had an ache due to physical strain?

Do you often have your feelings hurt? What is usually the reason? How do you cope?

Do you have any "usual" aches and pains?

Do you ever get cuts and bruises? If yes, in what circumstances? Was it different when you were younger?

Have you ever had a sleepless night? What did it feel like?

Have you ever been trembling all over? What was the cause?

Do you ever feel dizzy?

When was the last time you had to think or do something in a feverish way? What was the occasion?

Is there any food that makes you feel nauseous?

What does it usually take to make you feel nauseous?

How quickly do you get over minor squabbles?

How long does it take you to recover from offence or insult?

Do you think Russia is on the mend after the cataclysms of the twentieth century?

Do you think you are now over the worst in your university experience?

How soon do you think Russian society will be back on its feet after the present crisis?

What is your attitude towards alternative medical practices, such as acupuncture, manual therapy, herbal medicine, homeopathy, aromatherapy? Have you ever resorted to any of these? Share your experience.

If I feel out of sorts, I usually ignore it. This is a very bad habit, to ignore small signals from your body, because later, you will have to deal with something more serious. This brings us to the next question. I do not fight small symptoms, and later, it takes me almost a month to get rid of the cold. Even now, my throat hurts a little, but under certain circumstances, I can't stay at home and take care of it. So, my advice for everyone who feels unwell at any time: go and do something about it, or later, you'll struggle with a real, nasty cold.

______
1) I have an important mission not to feel out of sorts. 2) On the 9th December I have a choir concert and feeling under the weather on the stage is unimaginable. 3) So, if I feel this way, I have to be back on my feet as soon as possible.

When was the last time you had an ache due to physical strain?

Since last week, I started to go to the gym. And on my first day, I ran a lot, and after that, I went swimming. I used to swim a lot when I was younger and had 2nd adult category when I was 14. And I have never had problems with my muscles. But that very day, due to a big physical strain, I felt an awful pain in my leg. I immediately understood that it was a cramp. And I immediately remembered that professional swimmers, who swim in the ocean, always have a needle with them to prick a muscle when a cramp happens. So I started pricking my leg with my nails, hitting it with the other hand, and eventually it helped, and I got it over. It was really scary, but the experience was really beneficial for me and taught me not to overdo my physical system and raise my strain slowly and gradually, step by step.

I can say that sometimes my feelings get hurt. However, in many cases, I think that it's my own problem, not the other person's.
Sometimes, my feelings are hurt because of self-doubt or accumulated anger towards the other person. Sometimes, it's because I can't accept or agree with what they're saying.

Of course, there can be situations when it's not my fault at all but inappropriate behavior of the other person. But to make life easier and stay true to my Christian values, I try not to focus on the person who offended me and instead find a way to get over my feelings.

Very often, it is not easy, and I let my emotions or embarrassment run free. However, I hope that each time someone hurts my feelings, offends me, or laughs at me, I become stronger.

To be honest, I have a terrible immune system. I get sick very often and almost always with a high fever. At a recent testing, the doctors were very surprised that I recover on my own, without the help of antibiotics, as my immune system is at an extremely low level. It is not clear what to do about it now and how to treat it.

Nevertheless, it is a miracle that I am recovering on my own, without antibiotics and other strong drugs. Of course, full recovery requires about a week of complete rest, I drink lots of tea, rest and try to reduce stress levels. It always helps me a lot to have a homely atmosphere, help from loved ones and a good rest.

When it comes to minor colds, they seem to follow me non-stop and last for several weeks. It is hard to imagine autumn or winter without a runny nose, sore throat and exhaustion.

In conclusion, I would like to say that each of us has some difficulties that we have to put up with for the rest of our lives, for me it is definitely my health, which gives me new surprises every day.

Lucy has been feeling under the weather all week, she has a persistent headache. It's more than just the usual aches and pains, she's actually gone down with something serious, feeling trembling and nauseous. While she's recovering from this nasty bug, she hopes to get over it quickly and be back on her feet soon.
