What is your favourite scene in it? What’s the score like? Are there any particularly memorable lines in the dialogue?) Post illustrations, if possible.
Are you interested in theatre? What are the advantages of theatre over cinema, if any? Do you think theatre will survive in the age of Internet?
If you dance or perform ballet, how long did it take you to learn? Do you often dance? What is the style you prefer and why do you find it rewarding?
Are there comedians you like? Why do you find them interesting?
What has been your most positive and most negative experience with entertainers?
What is the most impressive venue you have been to? Post illustrations, if possible.

I’ve liked theatre since I was a small girl. I remember I went with my grandmother to the Big Theatre in Moscow and that was the most memorable experience of visiting the theatre in my life. The sets were incredible and the costumes were so bright that my child imagination was greatly impressed. I can’t say anything about the cast as I can’t really remember what it was.
To talk about cinema, there are some differences in visiting these places. For example, when you go to the cinema you want to rest and not to think about your life problems. You pay attention to the acting and the director’s idea presented in the film. When we talk about theatre we talk about culture and how it is represented in the scripts and dialogues.
Nowadays young people really likes visiting theatres because it is kind of a trend, so even though the cinema is so popular now, the theatre will be still developing and growing its skills in making sets, choosing the cast and entertaining the audience.

One of my favourite films of all time is «The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society». The screenplay and script are based on the 2008 novel, written by Mary Ann Schaffer and Annie Barrows. The film is directed by Nike Newell and features a cast of famous actors.
I adore this film for its beauty and love of books, which is amazingly shown in this movie. The film is mostly set in a stunningly beautiful place: an island called Guernsey. It tells the story of the time when the whole island was under German occupation during World War 2. Despite this, a group of people even in those scary times came together to discuss books and express their love for them. This film is very comforting and aesthetically pleasing, it inspires me very much and I believe it is a wonderful film to watch with the whole family.

| What has been your most positive and most negative experience with entertainers?
I had only positive experience, as for me, the most wonderful entertainers in the world are clowns. Clowns are absolutely adorable, funny and sad at the same time. My favourite clowns are Jango Edwards, Chris Lynam and Slava Polunin. The thing, which unites them all is love. They love all the people, and the whole planet is their big home. Slava always suggests everyone to be near with people, whom you want to hug. He has The Yellow Mile in Paris, where he lives. There are seven beautiful gardens, where every human can feel themself as a little kid again! When I was a kid, I used to go to his shows often, because my mother was a clown in his team. I rubbed his clown's nose and enjoyed his performances. I like clowns and I like being a clown too!

1. I prefer modern dance, but my friend prefers ballet. 2. The director and the cast did a great job in the play. 3. There is a new film on at cinema.

I remember very vividly the production of Hamlet with Benedict Cumberbatch. I watched a live broadcast from the Globe in Moscow at the cinema. Russian and English subtitles were given. To be honest, I went there precisely to see Cumberbatch in the lead role. However this inspired me to read the play. Maybe it's because of the modern costumes and sets, maybe because of the good acting, or maybe because of the genius of Shakespeare's play. We'll never know.

------------ There are a lot of PRODUCTIONS with lack of intelligence nowadays. Weak DIRECTION with young CAST are not the best option for a good perfomance. So before going to the theatre reading REVIEWS is necessary.

| Are you interested in theatre?
There are a lot of theatres in Moscow, but not a half of them I liked. I think, that it’s difficult to find a good theatre, where the play is clear and exciting. Modern theatres often transform a classical play, making it modern, so costumes are no more nobiliary and plot is no more recognizable.
But still there are such theatres where actors are skillful, where plays are classical and well staged. There are some of them: «Малый театр», theatre «Сопричастность», «Театр русской драмы».
That opera was a deputed by the audience with APPLAUSES, STANDING OVATIONS, GLOWING REVIEWS calling again and again foe ENCORES. All critics PANNED and SLATED it. It was a real MASTERPIECE.

I would like to talk about one of my favourite Soviet films which is called “The fairytale of the wanderings”. It is one of the examples of movies which are equally interesting for both children and adults. It is a fairytale about a girl trying to find her kidnapped brother and about her companion she met on her path. A fairytale, which can captivate, scare, make you laugh, make you think and inspire.
The film was made with the participation of three countries: the Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia and Romania. It was set in different locations, such as Český Krumlov Castle, Kost Castle, Trosky Castle and Crimea with its romantic views. The director of the film and the author of the screenplay is Alexander Mitta. The film raises various social, moral and philosophical problems, unobtrusively clothing all this in the shape of fantastic and a bit phantasmagorical fairytale, full of bright metaphorical images and various cultural references to medieval art, to the art and literature of Renaissance, to the Gothic literature and to the works of writers of the Romanticism. The movie immerse viewer into incredible and memorable atmosphere, beautiful in its curiosity. I would like to especially note Andrei Mironov who gave a wonderful performance in the role of wandering inventor, dreamer and philosopher Orlando. This character is rather different from his typical roles of comedy tricksters, and the film captures the actor’s very unusual side. I would also like to mention the marvellous score of the film which was written by Alfred Schnittke, one of my favourite composers.
“The fairytale of the wanderings” gives you a lot of things to think about. The dialogues are very memorable and many lines from the movie can even be parsed into quotes. Here are some of my favourite dialogues: “Where are you going? – I don’t know… – Then we’re on the same path. I don’t know where I’m going either…” “You should not get angry at bad people. Do you know why God created them? So that we could look at them and try to be completely different”. So, this film seems to me very philosophical, artistic, metaphorical, captivating, a bit weird, but very touching and sentimental at the same time. And I would say, it is one of the most unusual and curious projects of the Soviet cinema. Here you can see some pictures of the scenes from it.

I want to tell about one of my favorite Soviet films, Pokrovsky Gate. This lyrical comedy, directed by Mikhail Kozakov, was made for television in 1982. This film is one of the most famous in Russia. It was shot in Moscow and is dedicated to the city and its people.
The film features an amazing ensemble cast, and it's difficult to single out just one actor. Each one created an unforgettable and iconic character. The tandem of Oleg Menshikov and Leonid Bronevoy is particularly brilliant. It is is one of the most sparkling and funny friendships in our cinema.
In a way, the main character is Moscow itself—a living city that changes with its citizens from 1950s to 1980s. I love how the film shows the city in different seasons. My favorite scenes are the panoramic shots set to the songs of Bulat Okudzhava. I know many of the dialogues from this movie by heart. This film is very warm, funny and kind and is full of picturesque shots. I think anyone can see a little of themselves in its characters.
1. I have always wanted to see the live PERFORMANCE of Vladimir Vysotsky.
2. Yuri Lubimov, the former head of the Taganka Theatre, DIRECTED "The Master and Margarita", "Hamlet" and "Ten Days that shook the World".
3. Many people still remember the legendary CAST of Lyubimov`s "Hamlet" - Vladimir Vysotsky, Alla Demidova, Veniamin Smekhov, Natalia Sayko, Leonid Filatov

One of my favorite films is "Last Holiday" with Queen Latifah, ahe is amazing in her role! I like all the street SCENES shot near Karlovy Vary, it's very beautiful there! The DIALOGUES with Gerard Depardieu, who speaks half English and half French, are expressive and comical, he plays the chef in the kitchen of the Karlovy Vary restaurant. The DIRECTOR is Wayne Wang - a pioneer of Asian-American cinema, who is one of the first Chinese-American filmmakers who gain a major foothold in Hollywood. The SCRIPT was written by Jeffrey Price and Peter S. Seaman. My favorite scene is towards the end of the film, when the main character is sitting on a ledge next to an influential businessman who seems to have just realized what a callous and soulless person he is and what an empty life he leads. She talks to him, supports him, tries to share her love for life and then she suddenly finds out that she was misdiagnosed and she is not terminally ill and will not die in a week. It's a nice surprise for Christmas eve!

| Are you interested in theatre? What are the advantages of theatre over cinema, if any? Do you think theatre will survive in the age of Internet? Well, yes, I am very interested in theatre. I think the main advantage is the live performance. Seeing the actors on the stage right in front of you is special. You are part of the audience and can feel the energy. In the cinema, everything is on a screen. In theatre, the sets and costumes are real. Every show is different. I think theatre will survive the internet because people love real, live entertainers. It is a unique experience.

| I'd like to share my opinions on one of the most raved-about movies of 2025, Bugonia. IT'S ON AT THE CINEMA right now, and it's expected to reap awards and accolades during the next award season.
The DIRECTION in Bugonia is excellent. The fact that the DIRECTOR that shot the movie started in the experimental theatre is easily deduced because the whole movie, every shot and even its premise is artsy and not typical of big Hollywood films. The cast all gave praiseworthy PERFORMANCES. Among the acclaimed professional actors, Aidan Delbis stood out, as it was his first ever performance and it turned out simply marvellous. The SCENES are all SET either in picturesque locations or very believable and authentic-looking office buildings or homes. Apart from great production design, the movie does not lack humour and heavy metaphors at the same time. All the dramatic turns are accompanied by a great SCORE, which peaks at the scene before the end credits. The way the movie is shot, including the final reveal, is very satisfying for most viewers. It is also a delight for long-time fans of Alicia Silverstone, as she is making an APPEARANCE playing a victim of a big corporation.
Bugonia is rooted in modern problems that humanity faces. Yet it delivers laughs and poignant truths that immerse us in the delusions of the main character. I'd recommend it as a treat for the age-appropriate audiences who are not easily scared.
С уважением, Онищенко Ксения

| I find theatre very interesting. Its key advantage is its immediacy. For example , in a cinema, you watch a finished, recorded product, but in theatre, you witness a unique event that happens only once. The energy exchange between the stage and the audience is direct and powerful. No two performances are exactly the same. Another point is the minimalism. Theatre often uses simple sets and relies on suggestion. So, your mind can fill in the gaps, which makes you an active participant. As for cinema, it shows you everything in detail, but theatre engages your imagination more directly. Well, I guess, theatre will survive. As long as people value live human connection and collective emotion, theatre will have its place.

| Yes, I have several favourite comedians, and most of them are Russian. I find them interesting for their unique style of observational humour. In the current internet era, the stand-up genre is becoming more and more popular, and it's fascinating to watch. These comedians talk about everyday life, relationships, and small social problems. Their jokes are often very smart and sharp. I admire their talent for finding humour in the daily routine and for presenting it in that humorous way.

I will definitely use this opportunity to talk about one of my favourite films ever - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo in Italian) by famous Italian DIRECTOR Sergio Leone. It is so called spaghetti-western (it's a specific name for wester movies made by italians), it came out on the screens in 1966 and is SET in America in the times of the Civil war. The CAST is amazing, starring Clint Eastwood ("The Good"), and Lee Van Cleef ("The Bad") and Eli Wallach ("The Ugly"). The DIALOGUES are amazing and some lines became very famous. For example, there is famous dialogue between Tuco (The Ugly) and Blondie (The Good) in the very end of the film. According to the plot, they were after a huge amount of money, and the money was hidden in one of the graves in the large cemetery. When they finally found the right grave, Blondie says to Tuco this famous line: "You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig." The amazing SCORE, written by famous Ennio Morricone, really captures the western atmosphere of cowboys and duels under the hot sun. You may see some of the screenshots from this film below, including the famous poster.

| Yes, there are comedians I like. My favorite is the Russian COMEDIAN Alexander Reva. I find him interesting because he is very expressive and knows how to make the AUDIENCE laugh. I really like his DIALOGUE and the way he changes characters during a SCENE. The DIRECTION of his performances is clear, and the SETS are simple but effective. I also enjoy comedy in the CINEMA, so sometimes I check WHAT’S ON AT CINEMA to watch funny movies as well.
I also like Ivan Urgant. He is interesting because he is very intelligent and quick with jokes. His humor is often based on dialogues and real-life situations, and he knows how to talk to the audience naturally.
One of celebrities who was on Ivan Urgant’s show "Evening Urgant" is Billie Eilish. Well, it was a really nice episode. Ivan talked to her in a relaxed way, and their DIALOGUE felt friendly. You could see that the AUDIENCE was very excited to see her. She spoke about her music and her life, and the whole SCENE felt special because she was very open and honest. Ivan Urgant handled the interview professionally but with humor, like a real COMEDIAN.
