| What pieces of technology do you use daily?
Although there are a lot of pieces of technology in world, I use only some of them. I think, I can’t live without my phone and my laptop. These two pieces of technology I use on a daily basis. As I have my distance learning and live far from my home, I need somehow to communicate. I think they have become very vital for me.
Also, there is one thing that came to my life and I use it every day. It is Smart Band. Actually, I don’t like to wear anything on my wrist, but these watches are very light and the main functions of this thing are: Smart band shows me how many steps I make during the day, it also shows me how I sleep, it also shows me my pulse (rather accurately I can say). Also, it shows me all notifications that come to my phone. And I can make a silent mode on my phone because I don’t like the sound of notifications.
And one thing I use during the winter especially, it is desk lamp. I like to buy lightbulbs with warm light and turn it on during the day because I don’t have enough sun in my life, during these dark days.

GENETIC ENGINEERING is very popular nowadays. People want to live without any diseases and to ALTER FEATURES, so they do STEM CELL RESEARCHES. They INTERACT with the STRUCTURE of the CELL. Scientists also experiment WITH different kinds of food making it GENETICALLY MODIFIED. This sphere also ENABLES to do the CLONING. It’s often ASSOCIATED with the possibility to be immortal.3,5

| What pieces of technology do you use daily?
Living in the contemporary world, I can't help but use technology daily. On everyday basis I normally use a SMARTPHONE, A TABLET, A HIGH-DEFINITION CAMCORDER, A SATNAV and A DIGITAL PHOTO FRAME. I use the smartphone mainly for communication with my parents and the tablet for writing my coursepaper. The HD camcorder is needed for filming, as it is my hobby. I use satnav not to get lost in the woods and the digital photo phrame frame for keeping memorable photos at hand.

In my daily life, I use mainly a LAPTOP, a SMARTPHONE and a slow cooker. Such a set can be ASSOCIATED with a boring average life. Yes, I do not use the wonders of GENETIC ENGINEERING and am as far as possible from using STEM CELLS. But I'm not ready to ALTER the FEATURES of my daily life and INTERACT with complex TECHNOLOGIES, as well as controversial technologies like CLONING. I'm happy with what I have.

I use a SMARTPHONE and a LAPTOP on a daily basis. I also cannot imagine my life without a POWER BANK and WIRELESS HEADPHONES. At home, I also use a Xerox, microwave oven and TV. Recently, I bought an E-BOOK. It's really convenient because now I can read anywhere. I hardly imagine my life without technology. But I'm not ready to use voice assistance, like Alisa. Also, I think I can perfectly do without a smart home.

| What pieces of technology do you use daily? The most essential device is undoubtedly my SMARTPHONE, which is always with me, allows me to stay connected with others, read books and manage my schedule. When I need a larger screen for watching videos I usually switch to my TABLET, it also can be used as a laptop. I sometimes use a HD CAMCORDER to record important family events to keep memories about our trips and celebrations. It's funny, but I often use a GPS system, because I have a tendency to get lost everywhere anytime, so it makes my life easier.

| What pieces of technology do you use daily? Every day, I use many different types of technology to help me study and relax. In the morning, I always check my smartphone to see my messages and look at the weather forecast. When I go to the university, I take my tablet because it is lighter than heavy books, and it enables me to read all my science articles on the bus. In the evening, I usually work on my computer, where I installed new software for my English projects last week. If I have a technical problem, I spend time analysing the issue until I can find a way to fix it. Finally, I like to turn on my 3D TV to watch a good movie and relax before I go to sleep.

| What pieces of technology do you use daily? Most of the technological achievements I now have in my smartphone. Whether I like it or not, I can't imagine my life without it. I use it for everything: communicating, watching movies, reading, browsing, music and scrolling social media. For studying I have my tablet, which I find very useful. I have all of my university textbooks downloaded there, so I don't have to carry paper versions of them everyday and I don't have to search for them before every class. Besides, the screen is big enough, way bigger than my smartphone, but the tablet is way lighter than my laptop. I don't live in the dormitory and I have to commute every day, so it's also important for me. And at home I also use my laptop. I use it for everything else - writing my papers, researching, watching movies, working with video editing programs and playing videogames.
What software have you recently installed on your computer / smartphone? Have you found it useful? I was looking for a way to make my work with papers and articles more convenient, so I downloaded an app called "Nebo" to my tablet. I find it very suitable for my needs, and it has made writing my course paper way more comfortable. I mainly use it for working with articles. I can create a folder for all of the articles so I can easily access them, and my favorite feature is that I can highlight parts that I need to quote in my paper. This app is very helpful for me, and I use it for opening textbooks as well.

| What software have you recently installed on your computer / smartphone? Have you found it useful?
Recently, I installed the new version of iOS 26.5 on my smartphone. To be honest, I didn't expect much – usually updates just fix small bugs. But this time, I actually noticed a change. My video messages in Telegram have got much better quality. They used to be blurry and pixelated, but now they look clear. So yes, I found it useful, even though I didn't really ask for it.
What pieces of technology do you use daily?
I use three main pieces of technology every day: my smartphone, my laptop, and my TV with internet.
On my smartphone, I check social media constantly – Telegram, TikTok, and Instagram. I post photos to my profile, send messages to friends, and sometimes update my status. I subscribe to different channels and creators. I always look at likes and comments on my posts – it feels good when people react. I also share links to funny videos or news. My profile picture is a selfie, and my account is private because I care about privacy settings. I don't like strangers seeing everything. On my laptop, I watch YouTube and series for hours. On my TV with internet, I stream even more shows. So yeah, technology is basically my whole day. Some people would say it's too much, but that's just how I live.

| What is your opinion on medical experiments with animals?
This is a complex ethical issue, actually. I believe that while animal experiments have historically enabled, significant medical advances, we need to carefully analyse the problem and consider alternatives. Much of our understanding of molecular biology and the structure and function of molecules associated with living organisms has come from research where scientists have dissected animals and extracted their organs for study. Stem cell research and genetic engineering often involve animal testing to alter features and understand how genetic material (DNA) works. When different chemicals are combined in medical research, they need to be tested before being used on humans. But I've concluded that there's a flaw in the theory that animal testing is always necessary. With advances in technology, we should be utilising alternative methods where possible. For instance, computer modeling and voice technology that enables machines to interpret biological data could reduce animal experimentation.

| What pieces of technology do you use daily?
As any modern person, I can't imagine my life without using technology daily (whether that is good or bad). But I think my most used piece of technology is my smartphone, which is with me everywhere all day and which I use to perform almost all technical operations. For some reason, I find it more convenient to use than a laptop, for example. I myself find it strange, but it is what it is. I install almost all important apps, programs, files etc. on my smartphone. It is handy for me because the smartphone is a portative and very compact device. But the small screen, of course, is a significant disadvantage, that's why I'm thinking of buying a tablet. It is touch-sensitive which is more convenient for me, and it has a bigger screen and is more useful for reading, typing texts and so on.

genetic engineering stem cell research cloning.
Cloning means the creation of exact copies of plants or animals with the same genes. On the surface, it sounds amazing. But the real problem is: what happens when we try to clone a human? The most serious issue is identity. If you create a human clone, that person would have the same features (DNA) as the original. Would they feel like an individual? Or just a copy? Also, cloning is very inefficient. Many cells do not develop properly. Scientists often experiment with many embryos that die or have serious flaws. Is it ethical to utilise living embryos just to extract information? Some might say stem cell research is also problematic, but it usually focuses on repairing the body, not copying a whole person. Cloning, however, enables us to play “God” in a scary way and the worst sense. I think that cloning hurts the very idea of being unique.

| I think technology is basically applied science. Scientists discover natural laws through experiments and observation, engineers and inventors then turn those laws into practical things. For example, Newton's laws of motion made it possible to build cars and planes. But sometimes technology comes first.
Every day l use my smartphone for calls, messages, and social media. I also use a laptop for studying and writing. In the kitchen, luse an electric kettle and a microwave. I also use earphones to listen to music or podcasts during my workouts. So I rely on many pieces of technology every single day.
I have experimented with cooking and recipes. I like to try new combinations of ingredients. I added different spices to my chicken and rice. I tried baking my own bread instead of buying it. Some experiments turned out great. Others were terrible and I threw the food away.
I have mixed feelings about animal experiments. On one hand, they have helped create many life-saving medicines. Vaccines, antibiotics, and cancer treatments were all tested on animals first. Without animal testing, medical progress would be much slower. On the other hand, animals suffer during these experiments. Mice, rabbits, and dogs are kept in small cages. Some experiments cause pain or death. I think animal testing should be allowed only when necessary.
