List the foods that you eat most regularly. How many are (a) healthy (b) not so healthy?

Do you consume any superfoods? Why? Why not?

Name a food / drink that caused you a short-term health problem.

Name a food / drink that has caused you a long-term health problem.

What do you do to boost your immune system?

What health risks are you particularly concerned about? What do you do to reduce them?

Do you ever eat food that you are 100% sure is not processed? If yes, where do you get it?

What is the difference between fasting and dieting?

What do you do to keep fit?

"People often do not realise how stressful their jobs are" (section B). Do you agree?

Which of your habits do you consider to be harmful? What harm do they cause?

I most often eat meat(or fish), for example chicken, turkey, and sometimes beef. Grains, such as buckwheat, bulgur, and rice. Vegetables, mostly tomatoes, cucumbers and sometimes broccol and peppers. Fruits, for example apples and bananas. I also regularly drink protein shakes, especially after training. As for not so healthy things, I sometimes add some sweets. So out of all my foods, about nine out of ten are healthy.

Yes, I consume some superfoods, but not many. I eat blueberries and walnuts, I also add turmeric to my chicken or rice dishes. I do this because I play sports and want to reduce inflammation. Blueberries are good for recovery after training, walnuts give me healthy fats for energy. I do not buy expensive superfoods, I stick to affordable ones that actually work.

Once I ate too many spicy chicken wings. I like spicy food, but that time I overdid it. My stomach hurt for a very long time afterwards. Now I still eat spicy wings because they are tasty, but I try to eat less at one time and not on an empty stomach.

I have not had any long-term health problems from food or drink. I have always been careful, for example,I avoid processed foods and sugary drinks most of the time. Of course, I sometimes eat sweets when I want, but not every day.

I do several things for my immune system. Firstly, I eat healthy food, secondly, I take vitamin D, especially in winter, thirdly, I sleep at least seven hours every night. I also exercise regularly - this helps blood circulation, I try not to stress and walk outside.

I am concerned about joint problems because I train a lot. Knees and back suffer from heavy loads. To reduce the risk, I always warm up before training and cool down after.

To be honest, I am not sure l can be 100 percent sure about any food.
Even vegetables from the market may have been treated with chemicals, and meat from a farmer may have received antibiotics. So l do not obsess over this. I just choose minimally processed foods.

Dieting is a long-term or short-term eating plan. For example, I eat a lot of protein and complex carbs such as buckwheat and rice, and I limit sugar.
Fasting is when you consciously do not eat for several hours or days. Fasting can help lose weight quickly, but for an athlete it is bad because muscles need food.

I do sports to keep fit. I go to the gym four times a week, I eat well, I also walk a lot and try to be active during a day. I don’t smoke and drink alcohol.

What do you do to keep fit?

To keep fit, I try to eat useful products like vegetables and fruits. I also do exercises in the gym regularly. I don’t have harmful habits such as smoking or drinking alcohol, which can cause long-term health problems if consumed in large quantities over a long period. Some foods are considered to be good for our health. For example, wholemeal bread, nuts, and oily fish like salmon – and I try to include them in my diet. Also, recently I have been ridding myself of drinking energy drinks, because they are full of sugar and caffeine, and I know they are not healthy.

What health risks are you particularly concerned about? What do you do to reduce them?

I am particularly concerned about my body as a whole. My nutrition is not good: I often eat whatever I want, whenever I want, and I cannot control myself around food. This means I sometimes eat too many sugary foods (like cakes) or processed food with a high fat or high salt content. Others can cause long-term health problems if they are consumed in large quantities, and I worry about the future. I am also afraid of my heart health. My father has some problems with his heart, so what if I genetically have such a problem in the future? To reduce these risks, I am trying to improve my eating habits step by step. For example, I have stopped buying energy drinks and replaced them with water or fruit juice (especially apple juice with no sugar added), which can reduce the risk of heart disease. I also continue going to the gym to keep my heart strong. Even though I still struggle with self-control around food, I believe that regular exercise and avoiding bad habits will help lower my long-term risks.
