| I believe that the most effective way to memorize vocabulary is to learn words in context rather than as individual items. When I simply read a list of words, I tend to forget them very quickly, but when I see them in a sentence or use them in my own example, they stay in my memory for a much longer time. I also like to write down the word, its definition, and a personal sentence in a notebook. Regularly reviewing these notes, especially before bed or during short breaks, helps me to remember the words more naturally.To expand my vocabulary, I try to expose myself to the language as much as possible in everyday situations. Reading articles, stories, or even social media posts in English helps me discover new words without feeling like I'm learning them. When I hear or read a new word multiple times in different contexts, I start to understand how it's used. I also try to use new words in my spoken language.

For me, the most effective way is using Quizlet, which is perfect for long-term memorization. I like flashcards and tests, as they help me when I want to study for a test. I also make special folders to organize my vocabulary.
Describe ways to expand your vocabulary.
I think watching films in English and reading books are good ways to expand your vocabulary. You can also find an English-language blogger and follow them. It's important to surround yourself with English every day, whether it's through podcasts, music, or comics. The key is to find material that interests you.
What other methods of memorizing/learning vocabulary have you tried while studying this unit or hearing from your classmates?
Well, I can't say that I have found a new way. I'm just using everything that I've got used to. But I think that writing essays and sentences really helps me to learn more new words. I use not only language, but also fantasy and life experiences. It's good for making associations.

1) I was BORED STIFF during the online lecture and ended up just scrolling through my phone.

If I have to memorize a bunch of words for some particular reasons like test or exam, I totally agree with Masha on choosing Quizlet. Flashcards system is really efficient for me and it is really helpful when I need quickly memorize a lot of words. I also use mnemonic techniques like making up associations, usually visual ones, this works great for me as well.

I have never faced the desire to enlarge my vocabulary on purpose, because it usually happens by its own. Since my teenage years I just consume a lot of content in English like videogames, youtube videos, social media, etc. When I hear or see a new word, I just google it and after some time I just memorize this word.
