HIS HOLINESS PATRIARCH OF MOSCOW AND ALL RUSSIA visited our PARISH on a great FEAST - THE ANNUNCIATION.
Our METROPOLITAN met HIS HOLINESS near the CHURCH.
PATRIARCH told VLADIKO: “YOUR GRACE, thanks a lot for your hospitality.”
After that HIS HOLINESS greeted ARCHIMANDRITE who is an HEGUMEN of our MONASTERY.
PRIESTS, BISHOPS and ARCHIMANDRITE went to the ALTAR.
The DEACON read THE EPISTLE, then the BISHOP read the GOSPEL.
Afterwords, they began preparations for the greatest SACRAMENT OF THE CHURCH - COMMUNION.
During this DIVINE LITURGY also was ORDINATION TO THE PRIESTHOOD. This process impressed me.
I had a CONFESSION and COMMUNION on this FEASTING.
At the end of the LITURGY I listened to THANKSGIVING, said PRAYERS ON LEAVING THE CHURCH, MADE THE SIGH OF THE CROSS and went home.
I felt GRACE in my soul.
My father likes the songs by HIEROMONK Roman.
Also his favourite book is “Every day saints and other stories” written by BISHOP Tikhon (Shevkunov)
It’s also a favourite book of my grandfather who was a PRIEST.
My mother works in the CHURCH.
She sells CANDLES and ICONS, meets people in the NARTHEX and washes the ICON SCREEN.
I think she has read all THE BOOKS OF THE BIBLE such as GENESIS, NUMBERS, 1 SAMUEL, 2 SAMUEL, JOSHUA and others.
One day I saw how she was reading. She held the 1 KINGS with REVERENCE and seemed to be in another INVISIBLE DIMENSION.
Then she said FERVENT PRAYERS and went to bed.
My brother visited CHURCH OF GEORGIA last summer.
He WAS PERISHING at that moment, but THE HOLY GOSPEL, PSLAMS and Orthodox travels helped him.
During his trip he met an ARCHDEACON who helped him and advised to MARRY his girlfriend.

1. For me, the smell of INCENSE in our CHURCH is special. It’s a SYMBOL OF PRAYERS RISING UP TO GOD and also an inconceivable mystery. When a PERFUMED SMELL inflates the CHURCH, people feel the HOLY GRACE and peace in their souls.

THE HOLY DOORS of my church were decorated with flowers for the ANNUNCIATION.
My mother works in the cathedral and she has TO LIGHT all THE CANDLES every morning.

In our church the DOME is spectacular.
The ANNUNCIATION is one of my favorite and brightest Orthodox holidays.
