50 Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, The thing proceedeth from the LORD: we cannot speak unto thee bad or good.

51 Behold, Rebekah is before thee, take her, and go, and let her be thy master's son's wife, as the LORD hath spoken.

52 And it came to pass, that, when Abraham's servant heard their words, he worshipped the LORD, bowing himself to the earth.

53 And the servant brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment, and gave them to Rebekah: he gave also to her brother and to her mother precious things.

54 And they did eat and drink, he and the men that were with him, and tarried all night; and they rose up in the morning, and he said, Send me away unto my master.

55 And her brother and her mother said, Let the damsel abide with us a few days, at the least ten; after that she shall go.

56 And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the LORD hath prospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master.

57 And they said, We will call the damsel, and enquire at her mouth.

58 And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go.

St. Caesarius of Arles
And they called Rebekah and said to her, Will you go with this man? She said: I'll go

When the parents asked the girl if she would go with this man, she replied: I will go, because we clearly see how it was fulfilled in the Church. In the first case, the will of Rebekah is sought, in the second, the will of the Church is sought. Rebekah says: "Do you want to go with this man?" and she replies: I will. The Church says: "Do you believe in Christ?" and she replies, "I do." After all, Rebekah would not have been brought to Isaac if she had not said, "I will go, and the Church would not have been united with Christ if she had not said: "I believe."

This passage demonstrates how God directs events, how faith and obedience lead to success. It also shows the influence of religious beliefs and respect for them in public life. Rebekah shows courage and willingness to follow the will of God, which is an important aspect of this story.

"And they said, We will call the damsel, and enquire at her mouth"

Lopuhin writes, that these words indicate that a woman among the ancient Semites was far from being "enslaved" (in the way that later history finds the position of a woman among other Eastern nations). Rebekah had been asked if she wanted to get married before being taken to her future husband.

In this extract we see how everyone treats a woman in person of Rebekah. However, Caesareus of Arles speaks about the allegorical meaning of this text: Rebekah's answer - I will go - tells us  about the desire of the Church to follow Christ: It is said to the Church: "Do you believe in Christ?" and she replies, "I do." After all, Rebekah would not have been brought to Isaac if she had not said, "I will go", and the Church would not have been united with Christ if she had not said: "I believe."

These verses are just one manifestation of Rebekah's humility. She didn't think about her desires, just did what she was told, and was rewarded for it. I can't say that we should do everything we're told, but being obedient to your husband if he's God-loving is necessary.
