This is a story about one day in the life of a rich woman and her maid. The rich woman, whose name was Mrs. Addams, was rather stout, with a reddish complexion and a tendency to scowl. The maid, whose name was Mary, was slender but she often looked a bit haggard because Mrs. Addams made her work from dawn to dusk.
A new day arrived and Mary prepared and brought Mrs. Addams her morning tea. But Mrs. Addams was already displeased with Mary because she was five minutes late. But it was only the beginning. Mrs. Addams had a long list of chores for Mary. First, she ordered Mary to take a bucket full of water and a mop and clean the floor. And while Mary was doing that, Mrs. Addams sat with folded arms and crossed legs and watched her. Then Mrs. Addams ordered Mary to clean the stove and soon poor girl was covered in soot. Then Mary had to pick up the carpet and go outside to beat it with Mrs. Addams still watching. Then Mary had to wash the window and cook dinner. By that time Mrs. Addams was extremely tired because of all the watching and so Mary led her to bed and after a couple of minutes Mrs. Addams was happily snoring.

Once in N-town there was planned a dinner party. Completely different women and men were invited there. We had the opportunity to peek at how some women of the N-town usually prepare for important events.
In the first image you can see Mrs. Clapton. It was a stout woman, she had a double chin and so forth, but she never has a hair out of place. The manicure master took care of her hands, the masseuse kneaded her obese legs. She always wore a corset under her dresses to hide her large body, and when she couldn't tie the corset, she always clenches her fist in anger.
In the second picture we see Miss Leane. She is slender, or even lanky, woman with curly light-ginger hair. She likes to take long hot baths and she always does her own make-up. But with the choice of a dress, she turns to her assistant.
At a dinner party, completely different women gathered at the table, who were approached by equally different men. There was not a single unkempt person. They were talking and laughing, all were solemnly dressed, trying to please each other.
But it was "just a woman" who came out, and all the men immediately paid attention to her. And women just scowled at men.

| A typical story about a poor girl with lively disposition is unfolding before our eyes in PICTURE 5.
We can see a few women getting ready before a salon. There are three scrawny and probably lanky women and three stout socialites with double chins. The first corpulent lady is having her nails and hair done, the second seems to be snoring while having a massage. The third debutante is trying to find her long-lost waistline with the help of corset. The three scrawny ladies are also trying to make something with their body to look much better than they really are.
Well, here the story has taken a different direction. When our beauties were surrounded by gentlemen at the salon, a simple, naturally beautiful and cheerful waitress appeared with the drinks. All the men switched their attention from the ladies to her. Our vain socialites were annoyed by this fact. Some were looking at her angrily as though they were scowling, one of them folded her arms expressing her indignation. One woman in the picture seems like she has clenched fists. But no one crossed their legs or grimaced, probably they were so amazed by this 'unfair' situation.
And the men were happily engaged in a lively conversation with the humble, honest (she accepts herself as she is) and fit girl.

This is a story about a dinner party in a small town. It was a long-awaited and important event for all the women in the town. They all treated the preparation responsibly. Ms. Robertson was a stout woman with a double chin. She went to a hairdresser so that her hair didn’t look unkept and got her nails done. Then she went for a massage and got dressed, but she still looked haggard.
The second character of our story is Ms. Shon. She is scrawny, gangly and lanky. She took a bath, got dressed with her stylist and put on make-up.
At the dinner party, all the ladies gathered together and waited for attention from the men. However, a young beautiful waitress appeared. She was slender, lean and looked immaculate. All men were amazed by her pure beauty and they all surrounded her. Our ladies scowled at her and were angry with the situation. Some of them folded their arms and clenched their fists in anger.

This incredible story is about a rather corpulent, stocky unlucky gentleman who is regularly faced with awkward situations. One day he decided to visit a real estate agency to ask for help in finding a new flat. When he came, there was an enormous queue.
A slender woman kindly offered him to sit down in an incredibly comfortable chair. The gentlemen politely grinned at her and took his seat.
The queue was getting shorter and shorter and finally he was invited. Delighted, the gentleman rose, but the chair in which he had been sitting, rose with him. A scrawny man and a pale woman who were standing near the gentleman, were quite surprised and rushed to help him. But no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't get the chair out. Then one man, who looked a bit haggard, joined them. But the situation didn’t change. And the unlucky gentleman had no choice but to go home with the chair. He didn’t actually find a flat, but on the other hand, he got an incredibly comfortable chair.

We see a slender woman sitting on a bench. On her right she sees a scrawny man sitting there too. But then another man appears, he is tall and bulked up. He starts flirting with the woman, grinning and leering at her. He starts gradually pushing her to the side of the bench, leaving the first man no space to seat. Then, our thin man is making an observation, which makes the thug angry. At first he scowls at our man, because he is interrupting his conversation with the beautiful lady. But then he clenches his fists and starts beating him up. The woman is terrified, but the thug completely lowers himself in her eyes. At the end she comforts our hero, showing the bully that muscles and aggression is not what attracts women after all. She leaves the thug completely broken, as he deserves.

| Oh, what a story we see in the first picture!
A boy stands near his grandmother and kindly grins at her haggard face. Her complexion is rather sallow and it seems that she pouts all the time. But she doesn’t scowl and is not tapping her fingers. She is happy that he is near. Time goes by and now the boy has become a gangly youth, looking slender and clumsy, yet being wiry and full of life. The boy and the old lady are walking together, they seem to be really close. The boy becomes a man, and then a corpulent gentleman. He walks with his grandmother, her wearing an immaculate dress, they are happy seeing each other and no one ever grimace. Time passes, time goes by and the man who once was a boy is already stout and haggard himself. Many years have passed as a single day, but the family is still gathered. But the gloomy day will come inevitably and we see that the priest has already sung the prayer. Life is long and it takes all the powers away, so one who died is easy to guess. It was the boy who departed that day. And the lady? Death never knew her name.

-What is she GRINNING at? - the woman asked.
-I don’t know… - the boy answered SHRUGGING HIS SHOULDERS.
The woman sat down in the chair, FOLDED HER ARMS and CROSSED HER LEGS. That was our art teacher. Ms. Lewis was SLENDER and tall. She was perfect - NEVER A HAIR OUT OF PLACE - and always in IMMACULATE clothes.

When he entered the office set up in a large shipping container, Harry saw an obese man witha lazy eye grinning at him from behind the desk. The man gave the wiry and haggard detective a look, which a white shark would give a poor sailor left alone in the midst of the great ocean. Harry smoothed his unkempt hair trying to maintain confidence, but in his sallow face you could read that he has no idea where to start. A minute passed in silence. The man behind the desk, which at first kept his arms folded, now was tapping his fingers on the table, not irritably, but playfully. He was waiting for Harry to make the first move.

One evening Mr. Dobson, a rather stout gentleman, went to a party. There, a lovely slender lady with an immaculate haircut offered him a chair, which he gladly accepted as he wasn’t fond of standing for long periods of time. After an hour or so he decided to order another drink, but as soon as he got up to do so he was
reminded why the ill tongues called him obese – the chair turned out to be a bit too narrow for a man of his size, as it didn’t want to detach from him.
Shortly afterwards the lady saw this unfortunate accident and came to help Mr. Dobson, bringing along with her a gangly young man she was talking to. The lady held the chair in place, while the man tried to extract Mr. Dobson from it, but a stubborn piece of furniture didn’t budge. Discouraged by that, they tried a different approach, with them both pulling the chair while Mr. Dobson had to cling on to the ground.
Seeing that the alternative method was unsuccessful as well, they wanted to call in a third man, stockier and bulkier than the second one. But Mr. Dobson, who grew rather tired of being pulled and pushed around, refused further help in less-than-polite manner, scowled at the rest of the party crowd, picked up his coat, and left,
as quickly as his wooden companion would allow him to. He headed to a carpenter’s workshop, who, as he hoped, had the expertise and equipment to free him from the grip of that stupid chair. He tried to pull his coat over it to make it less obvious, but people he walked by still grinned at that extraordinary sight – a large man with a grimace of annoyance on his face and a chair stuck to his back.
